Below you can read our Privacy Policy - together with our Terms & Conditions this is the legal part of our website, and here we explain why we collect and how we use your personal information. For answers to all general questions about our products, your order, shipping, payment, returns, warranty etc. please visit our Support page which includes an extensive FAQ section with all popular questions, or contact us directly with any questions.
Our Privacy Policy was most recently updated on May 7th 2011. It will change over time, so please check this page periodically as you continue to use our website to see if any changes have been made.
Since 1997 we have developed relationships with our customers based on trust, respect and integrity. We treat your personal information as absolutely private and confidential, handle all personal information with the utmost care, and will never share your email address, phone number or any other personal information with any unrelated third party except when necessary to fulfill transactions that you initiate. If you have any questions or concerns about data protection and security or our Privacy Policy then please don't hesitate to contact us.
2. Credit card detailsIn 2011 we introduced a new system, offering the highest possible security for paying online with your credit card. We do not store any credit card details whatsoever. In fact when you pay by credit card we don't even see the credit card details that you enter. To achieve this the payment is authorized in real time when you place your order. We receive an immediate automatic response to confirm that the payment has been approved. When your order details are then stored in our system we simply record that the payment has been approved - it's not necessary for us to store any of your credit card details. This offers you the highest possible security when ordering online with your credit card. You can read more about safety when paying online with your credit card here.
3. SSL encryptionAll gocellular web pages during online checkout on which you enter personal information - for example your name and address - are secured with high-grade 256-bit SSL encryption. You can recognize this by looking at the 'https' prefix in the Internet address in your web browser, or by clicking on the padlock symbol in the browser window. These elements both appear after you click on the 'proceed to secure checkout' button in the shopping cart.
For more information about SSL encryption please visit our demo SSL page.
Whenever you have the option on our website to supply personal or business-related details (name, address, phone number, email etc.), you provide these details purely and explicitly on a voluntary basis. We will of course treat all details provided as absolutely private and confidential, handle all details with the utmost care, and use only them where necessary to process your order. For example, in the case of delivery of goods this will include forwarding your name and address to the designated logistics company (for example Canada Post or Purolator). Only after your prior and explicit approval will these details be used for other purposes.
You are welcome at any time, and of course at no charge, to receive information about the personal data we have stored about you and request we amend, block or delete any specific personal details.
Whenever you access a page on our website, details of the event may be stored in a log file. The recorded data can for example consist of the web page from which the request was sent, the date and time, a description of the type of Internet browser being used, and the IP address used to connect your computer to the Internet. This recorded data is only used for internal statistical purposes to improve our customer service and your online experience on our website. This data is never given to third parties, neither for commercial nor for non-commercial reasons.
